IBefore and after liquid leather (picture 1) SEEING IS BELIEVING ------ THE FULL STORY Leather is skin, dead skin. Like your own it gets dirty and dries out in the sun and heat. Mechanics suffer from ingrained dirt, which dries and cracks their fingers; this also happens to leather. Dirt must not be allowed to become ingrained and "cut" into the creases. Soap and water MUST NOT be used to clean leather as it will shrink and harden it. Greasy, waxy oils, pastes and balsams will attract dust and dirt which adheres to the finish and is then driven into the leather by your bottom. Picture 1 is a genuine Jaguar MK2 seat half of which has only been cleaned and conditioned - it has NOT been re-coloured. The cleaning has been done with Gliptone Liquid Leather Cleaner GT12: the cleaner was applied neat from the bottle and GENTLY STIRRED into the leather with a soft nailbrush. YOU MUST NOT SCRUB. After stirring into the leather, leave for a few minutes then stir again, finally wiping off the dirt with a damp cloth; repeat if necessary. Then apply two coats of Liquid Leather Conditioner GT11; this will soak in immediately, no polishing off is required if you apply sparingly, and a couple of hours later you can use the leather. Re-treat with GT11 Conditioner every 3 months or more depending on your climate, always wiping off any dust and dirt from your leather before applying the Conditioner. If you have leather subject to rain and dirt, for example clothing, veteran cars, convertibles, motorcycle leathers and saddles etc, use Liquid Leather Conditioner GT13 with water and dirt repellant. ALL LIQUID LEATHER CONDITIONERS SMELL OF TOP QUALITY ENGLISH LEATHER WHICH WILL IMPREGNATE YOUR LEATHER WITH THIS LUXURIOUS AROMA. Picture 2 below shows that before treatment the leather is cracking - this is because of the ingrained dirt; after treatment the dirt is removed and the crack can close up, as seen in Picture 3. Pictures 2 and 3 are close-ups from Picture 1. Use Liquid Leather on car seats, furniture, boots, bags, cases, saddles and clothing. Always colour check first: GT12 may need diluting with up to 80% water for clothing, bags, cases and furniture because of the range of qualities. DO NOT DILUTE FOR CARS. Liquid Leather products are used or sold by: Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Ferrari (Maranello Concessionaires), Aston Martin, TVR, Bristol Cars, Saab GB, the largest leather furniture manufacturers and retailers including World of Leather, plus most of the "CE" accredited made to measure motorcycle leather clothing manufacturers. Liquid Leather is the only product recommended by the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club Interior Care and Renovation Seminars.

NEW LIQUID LEATHER "SCUFF MASTER"
The picture on the left shows a well worn car seat. On the right you can see the huge improvement with SCUFF MASTER
No matter how careful you are, leather can get accidentally damaged. Perhaps by continual rubbing by the seat belt, or you getting in and out of a car. Cover these unsightly marks with Scuff Master leather touch-up dyes. Scuff Master leather dyes are "new generation" water based colours which do not require a topcoat sealant - it's built in. Once dry, the colour is permanent and waterproof. A Scuff Master kit allows for fading or slight variations in original leather by providing small bottles of toner to darken or lighten the main colour. We also provide a Gloss Enhancer to allow for leather that has become shiny, so with a little mixing you can exactly match your leather. Scuff Master colours are also CONCENTRATED so that you can repair all the common damage that occurs. Just add water to the dye to thin it to your needs. We have colour matched nearly every UK, European and Japanese car leather and are still adding new colours. Every colour is to the manufacturers original colour so if your car is old some toning will be required to allow for fading etc. All seats should be thoroughly cleaned with Liquid Leather GT12 first, then touched in and finally conditioned with Liquid Leather GT11. TO REPAIR SCRATCHES AND MINOR CUTS: Use Scuff Master dye concentrated and toner if necessary, fill the scratch with dye using a tooth pick or split match, wipe off excess dye from the sides of the scratch, allow to dry, then "colour wash" if necessary (described below) COLOUR RUB OFF AND SCUFFS: Dilute Scuff Master dye with 50% water after toning and dab onto the damaged area with the foam provided, repeat if necessary, then "colour wash" to blend in. CREASES AND CRACKS: we do NOT want to fill in the cracks with dye as this will form a wedge and increase the damage. We need to re-colour the brown leather that shows within the cracks. Clean the leather thoroughly with GT12; wipe out residue with a wet cloth and leave to dry. Dilute Scuff Master with 80% water and wipe over the leather, leave 30 seconds and wipe off with a damp cloth: this we call "COLOUR WASHING", the dye will remain in the cracks but come off the good leather. Leave all repairs 24 hours before conditioning with GT11. Water based Scuff Master does not attack stitching does not dry out leather and does not smell of cellulose thinners. IF YOU MESS IT UP, SIMPLY WIPE IT OFF WITH A DAMP CLOTH BEFORE IT DRIES AND TRY AGAIN. We supply Scuff Master dyes in 250ml, 500ml and 1 litre bottles for larger areas. We mix to a sample or from our files. All will be at least 50% larger in volume when diluted with water for application. To re-colour a medium car we supply a kit which includes, 250ml GT12 Cleaner, 250ml GT11 leather smelling Conditioner, 150ml Solvent cleaner, 1 litre Scuff Master dye and a self contained spray gun.
